Statue dedicated Sept. 1959
Church of St. Francis Solanus on W. Lake St. Built by Jean Baptiste Trotochaud in 1860 on land he donated to the church, dedicated by Bishop Frederic Baraga on July 23, 1860. A restoration campaign has been launched to preserve this old landmark.
